aleo solar AG supplies modules for two megawatt solar farms in the Czech Republic

aleo solar AG today announced that it has delivered modules for two solar farms in the Czech Republic. Installed on greenfield sites, the power plants have a maximum rated output of around one megawatt each. Grid connection is planned for December.

All in all, more than 4,500 aleo S_18 solar modules (rated at 220 and 225 watts) have been installed in Velká nad Veličkou (South Moravian Region) by our experienced aleo partner EkoSolar, s.r.o. The investor for this greenfield solar power plant is E-in, s.r.o. Jan Halla, CEO of E-in, comments: "We chose aleo modules for our first major photovoltaic installation due to their superior product and service quality."

The second greenfield solar facility has been installed in Horní Moštěnice (Přerov District, Olomouc Region) by our aleo partner Profistav Litomyšl, a.s. The system uses around 5,400 aleo S_16 solar modules (rated at 185 and 190 watts), half of which are mounted on a single-axle tracking system. Profistav Litomyšl, a.s. and investors Manisa, a.s. chose aleo modules for reasons of quality: "We selected the German manufacturer aleo solar because aleo modules deliver superior long-term yield when compared to competing products," comments Petr Tesař from Manisa, a.s. Profistav Litomyšl, a.s. was formed in 1992 and installs turnkey building and photovoltaic systems using modules from aleo solar. By April next year, Profistav Litomyšl, a.s. will have installed a further 1.4 megawatts of aleo modules.

The Czech Republic is one of several European countries showing strong growth in installed photovoltaic capacity. aleo solar has maintained a sales office in the country since early 2009. "The Czech Republic offers exceptionally attractive conditions for operators of solar power plants," comments Norbert Schlesiger, director Sales at aleo solar AG. "The feed-in subsidy was reduced by only five percent. Therefore we expect strong growth to continue next year."
