Lower energy costs with storage
More and more people want to use the solar power generated on their own roof for their own energy needs and store it for periods with low sun levels instead of feeding it entirely into the public grid. Why? Because it pays off. For the most part, the feed-in tariff for new solar power systems is now less than current energy prices - so households are selling the solar power they generate for a "cheaper" price than what they have to pay to the energy suppliers to buy it back. Consequently, the more energy that can be used in the household where it is generated, the lower the household's energy bill will be.
Up to 80 % self-consumption
By running a washing machine or dishwasher during the sunny hours in the middle of the day, a household can use up to 30 % of its solar power itself. With intelligent control units like the aleo aleo Solar-Log 1000, household appliances can be switched on automatically during the high-yield sunny hours to increase self-consumption by a further 10 % on average. But, households can only use up to 80% of their solar power themselves and save several hundred euros in energy costs each year if they have a solar power storage system. Such a solution could therefore save several thousand euros over entire the service life of the solar power plant.
Independence from increasing energy prices
Many consumers are interested in solar power storage because they want to be less dependent on the developments in energy prices. The more solar power consumers can use themselves, the less energy they have to buy from energy suppliers at expensive prices.
Energy even during a power outage
A further benefit: households with solar storage retain power even during minor or major power outages. The storage systems supplied by aleo solar switch to emergency power supply automatically so that household devices and appliances can continue to function for up to an entire day without electricity from the public grid. Only devices that need high voltage current - such as ovens or hobs - cannot be run on solar power.
The storage systems VS 5 Hybrid and S 10 offer:
State-of-the-art battery technology
Our storage solutions use high-efficiency lithium-ion batteries. Their life expectancy of 20 years is twice as long as that of other lead-based battery technologies. Lithium-ion batteries offer particularly high performance, making them the battery of choice for modern electric vehicles.
Large storage capacity
Depending on the size, our storage systems can supply a household with energy for up to an entire day. They are available with storage capacities ranging from 5.4 to 13.2 kWh and are highly flexible: both energy storage systems have a modular design that makes upgrading easy. If the energy requirements of a household increase or a higher level of self-sufficiency is required, additional batteries can simply be retrofitted.
High levels of self-consumption
With storage systems from aleo solar, home owners can use up to 80 % of their own solar power. This is made possible by the large storage capacity and high battery efficiency of up to 97 %. Without solar power storage or control technology, households can only use about 30 % of their own solar power – and, only if they ensure that their appliances run during the high-yield sunny hours of the day.
Low conversion losses
Only a minimal amount of energy is lost through the intermediate storage of the solar power, as the storage system is connected directly to the DC intermediate circuit of the PV inverter. This means that the direct current produced by the solar power plant is also stored as direct current in the battery and does not have to be converted into alternating current for storage and then back to direct current for use.
Fully integrated devices
Our storage systems don’t have to be built. All the components are already integrated in one device and only have to be installed by a certified technician. The system operates fully automatically.
Minimal space requirements
The storage systems from aleo solar only need a minimal amount of space. They can be installed in the cellar or utility room. In contrast to lead batteries, which generate oxyhydrogen, our storage systems do not require active room ventilation. Plus, temperature fluctuations do not reduce the output of the devices.
Simple installation
Installation by a certified installer only takes an hour or two.
Remote monitoring
The performance of the system can be checked anytime, anywhere - via the Internet or a smartphone. A touch display also shows the battery charge status, the level of self-consumption, the current solar power yield and the amount of energy being fed in to the grid.
