aleo solar AG generates annual revenue of EUR 462 million in 2011

aleo solar AG [ISIN: DE000A0JM634] today announced that, based on preliminary calculations, it expects to have achieved revenue of EUR 462 million in financial year 2011. The company had previously anticipated annual revenue of EUR 440 million. Revenue was down 17 percent in 2011 compared to the previous year (EUR 554 million). Foreign business accounted for around 48 percent of revenue in 2011.

aleo solar AG is led by an experienced management team with a background in economics and years of experience in the field of renewable energies. Responsibilities are divided as follows:
York zu Putlitz, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer
York zu Putlitz is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of aleo solar AG. He combines this function with the role of Chief Financial Officer. Zu Putlitz has worked for the Bosch Group since 1996.
York zu Putlitz studied Business Administration in Mannheim and began his professional career at Allianz AG where he underwent marketing and sales training. As the Executive Assistant to the Sales Director at the insurance company, he was responsible for the former East German states. After five years, the graduate in business administration moved to the Bosch Group in 1996 and initially worked in the corporate auditing department. He then went to Hungary and, as the Commercial Plant Manager, established a Bosch factory for electric tools. Three years later, the native Heidelberger moved to Stuttgart-Feuerbach. In the diesel pump plant there, one of the largest factories of its kind in the world, zu Putlitz worked as Head of Logistics. He was then responsible in the Bosch headquarters for controlling, planning and corporate acquisitions.
Dr. Jens Sabotke, Chief Technical and Development Officer
Board member Dr Jens Sabotke is responsible for technology and development. He has extensive experience in the capital goods industry and has worked for the Bosch Group since 1988.
The mechanical engineer joined the Bosch Group immediately on completing his studies. His classic Bosch career began at the Blaupunkt plant in Hildesheim, where he initially held the position of Executive Assistant to the Commercial Plant Manager. After almost ten years, in which he rose to become Head of Production Planning at the Hildesheim plant, he moved to Malaysia to become Technical Manager of the Blaupunkt plant in Penang. On returning home to Germany, the Bremen-born production technology specialist managed the Bosch plant producing engine and transmission controls in Salzgitter. Dr Sabotke then moved to Reutlingen to become the Technical Plant Manager in the Automotive Electronics division.
